Jet Airways join SpiceJet in ‘Price War’

Leading low-cost airliner Jet Airways has joined the price war triggered by SpiceJet with two million tickets to the passengers at a low rate. The six-day sale, which began on February 19, will continue till February 24.

The economy tickets will start at Rs 2,250. At least 20 lakh seats on over 450 daily flights across 57 destinations are on sale now. However, with the ‘SOLD OUT’ messages on the special fares column, there is a suspicion whether the airliner is actually offering low-cost tickets in reality or just resorting to marketing gimmick to boost its sales.
