TNI Bureau: Ollywood actress Archita Sahu made Odisha proud with her achievement at the Pond’s Femina Miss India 2013 in Kolkata. While Sagarika Chhetri won the crown, Archita bagged 1st runner-up title at Hotel Park Plaza Ballygunge in Kolkata on January 28, 2013.
Sukanya Bhattacharya won the title as Pond’s Femina Miss India Kolkata 2nd runner-up. The trio shined at the gala ceremony, which is the most prestigious and credible beauty pageant in the country.
The ceremony was held marking the completion of the glorious journey of Femina Miss India. The talented and beautiful girls won the titles beating all the contestants. Ten contestants were shortlisted from over 200 aspirants in the auditions. However, the title will give a new opportunity for Archita to enter the world of glamour and begin her career in Bollywood.

The decision at the event was taken by the jury members such as Ace Cricketer Manoj Tiwary, Popular Playback Singer Usha Uthup, Top-notch Designer Agnimitra Paul, and Popular Designers Dev & Nil.
It was a memorable and significant moment for Archita, who has given her hits in Odia film. She also won ‘Lakme Absolute Femina Miss Eyeconic eyes’. Minutes after the proud moment, wishes and compliments poured in favour of her on the social networking sites yesterday night.
The event began followed by a splendid performance by the sensational singer Shibani Kashyap, who also sung the Pond’s Femina Miss India 2013’s 50th Year track. The audience enjoyed the performance by DNA Danceworks. The performance was a blend of Classical Jazz, Contemporary, Bachata & Afro Mambo by company repertory members founded by Amit Shaw & Dorothy Majumdar in Kolkata. Popular comedians Vaibhav Sethia and Anirban Dasgupta also entertained the audience at the event held at Hotel Park Plaza Ballygunge Kolkata.
