Arvind Kejriwal targets Mukesh Ambani and Reliance Industries

TNI Bureau: Indian Against Corruption (IAC) activist Arvind Kejriwal targeted Reliance Industries and Mukesh Ambani in his expose part III, revealing the industrialist-politician nexus today. He played out Radia tapes at the press conference that revealed all the facts before the media. He said that the corporates are running the government not the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

After Robert Vadra and Nitin Gadkari, Kejriwal questioned Mukesh Ambani’s influence on the government to raise the gas price.

He dragged everyone’s attention by saying both Congress and BJP are in the pockets of Ambani. He alleged that NDA had favoured on the Reliance Industries by signing a sweet deal in 2000, and the Congress had completed it giving enough benefits to Reliance that caused serious price rise in the country. As per the deal the reliance is bound to sell gas at $4.2, but now it wants to raise gas price up to $14.2. The hike in gas price will give benefit to Reliance by Rs 43,000 crore.

Mukesh Ambani landed in a trouble after the expose. The controversial Nira Radia tapes where Ranjan Bhattacharya (Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s son in law) was heard telling Nira that Mukesh Ambani told him – “Congress is in our pockets (Congress to ab apni dukaan hai)”.

Kejriwal said that RIL is keeping gas prices low to blackmail govt. Mani Shankar Iyer was removed, and Deora was brought in to benefit Reliance. Even Prime Minister was very sympathetic to RIL. Pranab Mukherjee had given undue benefit to RIL in 2007. Recently, Jaipal Reddy was replaced with Moily for resisting RIL demand to increase gas price. Kejriwal wants RIL’s KG Basin contract to be cancelled.

Adding to the allegations, Prashant Bhushan said that the crony capitalists are dictating government policies.

Replying to a question, Kejriwal said, both the congress and BJP are two faces of one coin. Hence, these political parties should not come to the power.

However, some Congress workers created ruckus at the press conference and one of them hurled shoes at Kejriwal. But he was prevented by the IAC workers. He could not sit idle and said that it was expected, but his voice cannot be suppressed.
