TNI Bureau: Lt General (Retd) KS Brar, who led the Operation Blue Star at the Golden Temple in Amritsar in 1984, was attacked and injured in London. The 78-year-old Brar, a Z-category protectee, was stabbed by four men outside a hotel in London.  He is suffered a knife wound in the neck and recovering well after receiving medical treatment in time.

Meanwhile, the Scotland Yard said that investigations were on but no arrests have been made so far.

“This was a pure assassination attempt on me. Even on Internet there are so many threats being sent to me to say that there have been many attempts on your life but they have not succeeded, but the next one will succeed. They have been after me.”  Brar said. He is convinced that it was an attempt to assassinate him by “pro- khalistan elements” for his role in the 1984 “Operation Bluestar.”
