Coincidence? Triple Attack on Narendra Modi Today!

September 3, 2013 turned out to be worst nightmare for Gujarat CM Narendra Modi and his deputy Amit Shah, as they came under severe attack from three sources. And, the attacks came a day after the media reports that RSS is pushing hard to force the BJP to announce Modi as its PM candidate.

Narendra-ModiFirst came the report of the rift between Gujarat Governor Kamla Beniwal and Modi when the former returned the controversial Gujarat Lokayukta Commission Bill 2013 although the Gujarat Assembly passed it with a clear majority earlier this year. The bill seeks to give all powers to the Chief Minister to head a committee and appoint the Lokayukta. The power of the Governor as well as the Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court has been diluted to a great extent. The Governor will have to give her assent if the bill is sent again.

Secondly, a sting operation CD released by investigating journalist Pushp Sharma put Modi in the dock again, as it showed senior BJP leaders Prakash Javadekar and Bhupendra Yadav discussing how to protect Amit Shah in Tulsiram Prajapati fake encounter case. Prajapati was a close associate and witness to the encounter of Sohrabuddin Sheikh in 2005.

VanzaraTowards the end of the day, the biggest shocker came when suspended Gujarat IPS officer DG Vanzara, who has been in jail for the last six years in connection with a series of “fake encounters”, quit the service and wrote a 10-page explosive letter to the Gujarat Government, directly blaming Modi and Shah for the plight of police officers, including himself.

“I had supreme faith in Narendra Modi, whom I used to adore as God. However, he is in a hurry to march to Delhi. He forgot what he owes to us. He failed to rise to the occasion, as he has been under the evil influence of Amit Shah. I was a loyal soldier of the government, but the government failed to back me and other cops. Our police officers were only implementing the conscious policies of the Gujarat government,” he wrote.

Amit-ShahVanzara also sought to blame the Gujarat Government in strongest possible words, saying the encounter issue was kept alive to get political mileage. “The government got maximum political mileage in the last 12 years, while we languished in jail. The government never bothered about us, but swung into action when Amit Shah was named and even appointed Ram Jethmalani to fight his case,” he added.

Vanzara blamed Amit Shah for everything, saying he used and threw away the cops. “Amit Shah is misleading Narendra Modi and holds a lot of influence over the CM. Amit Shah is using divide-and-rule policy to accomplish his goals. The politicians put us in jail to save their skin”, said Vanzara.
