India test-fired its indigenously developed nuclear-capable Prithvi-II ballistic missile, which has a strike range of 350 km. The missile took off from launch complex-3 of the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur this morning.
Prithvi-II is capable of carrying 500kg to 1000kg of warheads. The previous trial of this missile was successfully conducted on August 12, 2013. It was also the first missile to be developed by DRDO under India’s prestigious IGMDP (Integrated Guided Missile Development Program).
