Modi Cabinet: List of Ministers with Portfolios

As expected former Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar became the new Defence Minister of India. Suresh Prabhu, who quit Shiv Sena to join the BJP, has been given the Railways. The most surprising change came in Health Ministry. Harshvardhan was shifted to Science, Technology & Earth Sciences. JP Nadda became the new Health Minister. It is believed that Harshvardhan may return to Delhi politics ahead of the assembly polls.

Former Congress leader Chaudhury Birendra Singh got the Rural Development and Panchayatiraj portfolio. Arun Jaitley got the additional charge of Information & Broadcasting (I&B) along with Finance, Corporate Affairs. D.V. Sadananda Gowda has been given the Law & Justice portfolio in the Modi Cabinet, while Ravi Shankar Prasad retained the Communication & IT.
