Modi’s Supporters protest outside Advani’s Residence

The leadership crisis in BJP was exposed after party veteran LK Advani decided to skip the National Executive meet in Goa. This is for the first time in history; the senior leader did not attend the meeting citing health reasons. Meanwhile, a group of Narendra Modi supporters on Saturday staged a protest outside the residence of Advani for opposing the elevation of Gujarat Chief Minister as the campaign committee head.

The protesters shouted pro-Modi slogans outside Advani’s 30-Prithviraj Road on Saturday afternoon. They demanded Advani should step aside and allow Modi to be the campaign chief for the upcoming polls.

The decision on Modi was expected on Modi at the extended Parliamentary Board meet called by party president Rajnath Singh on Friday. However, it was postponed till Sunday due to Advani’s absence. The National Executive meet will end on Sunday. Modi is waiting for the announcement, but it will be clear tomorrow whether Modi will be announced as the campaign committee chief.
