Prez Polls: NDA adopts Wait and Watch Policy

TNI Bureau: The BJP-led NDA kept everyone guessing, as they refused to reveal their cards after the first round of meeting today. BJP veteran LK Advani said that the meeting was held just to analyze the situation.

It is believed that AIADMK Chief J Jayalalithaa and BJD chief Naveen Patnaik may have extended their support to any NDA candidate in the Presidential Polls. Advani said that the BJP is in touch with all non-Congress parties over this issue.

The BJP veteran slammed the UPA Government for handling the Presidential Polls in a complex manner. He termed the 2012 Presidential Polls as sensational. The BJP will also consult all state Chief Ministers where NDA is in power.

Meanwhile, top TV channels in India have reported that former President APJ Abdul Kalam may agree to contest against the UPA candidate Pranab Mukherjee. However, he is looking forward to hear from the Samajwadi Party, which is playing hide and seek game with the Congress and Trinamool Congress.
