The Delhi Police revealed that a group of over 100 bikers were performing dangerous stunts near Windsor Lane, which is close to the Parliament Street, at around 2 AM. When the PCR van chased them, they fled from the spot. Later, they were intercepted by another van. When challenged, the bikers pelted stones at the PCR, causing damage to it.

The police fired two rounds of shots – one in air and another to deflate the tyre, but since Puneet was performing the stunt, the bullet hit Karan and he died. While the families of the bikers have slammed the Delhi Police, the latter termed the incident as “not deliberate”. The public have disapproved the bike stunts on roads, but criticised the Delhi Police for resorting to firing.
