Two Gang-rape Accused commit Suicide in Haryana

TNI Bureau: Two young men, accused of gang-rape of a married woman from a Scheduled Caste, allegedly committed suicide in the early hours of Friday by jumping in front of a moving train on the Rohtak-Delhi railway track near Kanheli village in Haryana.

The deceased were identified as Sandeep (24) and Sunil (25) of Ajayab village in Rothak
district. Along with three others, they were booked on Thursday for the rape of the 30-year-old woman in their village on Wednesday night.

The woman had alleged in her complaint that two persons, identified as Kala and Fouzi, along with their three friends, had barged into her house on Wednesday midnight when she was sleeping alone.

They allegedly gang-raped her and threatened of dire consequences if she spills the beans, she had stated in her complaint.

Taking action on her complaint, the police registered a case under IPC Section 376 (rape) and SC/ST Act against the accused and started a manhunt to nab them, the DSP said. The remaining three accused are still absconding.
