In a gruesome incident in the state capital of Odisha, an ex-army officer allegedly killed his wife and chopped her body into more than 100 pieces. The mutilated remains of his wife were found from a suitcase kept inside a room of his home in Nayapalli.
The accused Dr. Somantah Parida (71) has been arrested from his residence Nayapalli for killing wife Usashi Parida (65). He is a doctor by profession. The sensational murder case is believed to have occurred at least 15 days ago. However, the matter came into light yesterday when Dr Parida’s relatives visited his home in the evening to inquire about the couple. Their children are staying in Saudi Arab. The suspicion grew after their children did not hear anything from their mother. The relative came to their home to see if their parents were fine or not.
Police sealed the home at Nayapalli and interrogated the accused. However, the cause of the murder has not been ascertained yet. Police suspected the involvement of another person along with Dr Parida behind the brutal murder. However, nothing is clear till now.
