TNI Bureau: Justice has been delivered in the end. The Supreme Court upheld the death sentence given to 26/11 terrorist Ajmal Kasab, who had waged a war against India along with his nine other colleagues and killed 166 people in Mumbai.

Kasab had appealed against the Bombay High Court judgment, which sentenced him to death, saying he was “brainwashed” using religious sermons to carry out the crime. The apex court did not buy that argument or logic.

The Supreme Court observed that the primary offence of Kasab was to wage a war against India, which cannot be pardoned under any circumstances. It would a fitting tribute to the martyrs, if Kasab is sent to the gallows on November 26, the day on which he committed the heinous crime.
