Race for White House: Who will win US Polls?

By Chinmayee Dash: The battle for the White House began with voting in New Hampshire on Tuesday midnight. The race seems to be tough as Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is an influential candidate and President Obama boasts of his achievement done in last five year in the country.

After the days of huge political pressure, debates and the recent natural disaster Hurricane Sandy, the presidential polls could be measured in hours and minutes. The supporters of both the candidates are still wonder, what magic will work?

Of course, the supporters and common citizen will determine the fate of both the candidates, but who will be crowned, it is tough to analyse. Obama could be the first choice as he takes credit to eliminate Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. At the same time, Romney could not be ignored as his policies would bring good economic reforms in the country.

Voters in New Hampshire, which is the first town of Dixville Notch, cast their votes just after midnight. 10 voters cast their ballots. However, the result showed a tie with Obama and Romney each getting 5 votes. Polling stations are kept open in morning and the voting will continue till nightfall.
