MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) scored an emphatic victory over the Titans (South Africa) in their first match of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament. Earlier, Trinidad & Tobago had beaten the Brisbane Heat.
Chennai won the toss and elected to field. Titans posted 185/5 in 20 overs, thanks to Henry Davids (52), Jacques Rudolph (21), AB de Villiers (77) and Farhaan Behardien (21). Dwayne Bravo took two wickets.
In reply, CSK reached 187/6 in 18.5 overs and won the match by 4 wickets. Michael Hussey (47), Suresh Raina (47), Badrinath (20*) and Dwayne Bravo (38) played the key role in Chennai’s victory. For Titans, Rowan Richards took three wickets. Raina was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
