India to host World T20 Cup in 2016

The ICC has spelled out its plan for the World Championships in all three formats of the game – T20, ODI and Tests. India will host the World Twenty20 Cup in 2016, followed by World Test Championship in 2021 and 50-over World Cup in 2023.

ICCThere will be no Champions Trophy in near future, as it was replaced by the World Test Championship. England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will host the first edition of the World Test Championship in June-July 2017. The second edition will be held in India in February-March 2021.

The 2015 World Cup (50 overs) will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand. The 2019 edition will be hosted by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The Cricket Australia (CA) will host the 2020 World Twenty20 Cup.
