The IOC observed that the IOA failed to comply with the world body’s rule and allowed government intervention in its polls despite several warnings. Meanwhile, the IOA President Abhay Singh Chautala has blamed Randhir Singh, who is India’s representative at the International Olympic Committee for the mess.

According to Chautala, Randhir Singh sabotaged India’s prospects at the IOC after being forced to withdraw his nominations for the post of President of IOA. Many former Olympians and sportspersons in India have blamed the politics at the IOA for India’s humiliation on global arena.
