As the possibility of holding the 5th ODI between India and Australia at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, is very bleak now, the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) has geared up to refund the tickets purchased for the match.
OCA Secretary Ashirbad Behera has admitted that the ground is suitable for playing due to incessant rains and wet outfield. However, a formal decision to cancel the match, will be taken by the match referee tomorrow. As the 4th ODI in Ranchi, was also washed out, the latest development has come as a shocker for the cricket lover.
According to the OCA, the refund towards the tickets will be available at Counter No. 1, 2 and 3 of the Barabati Stadium from November 8 till November 15. Over 12,000 tickets were sold to the spectators for the match. The tickets were available in various denominations such as Rs 400, Rs 500, Rs 2000, Rs 3000, Rs 4000, Rs 5000 and Rs 10,000.
