Odisha need 92 more vs Uttar Pradesh to reach Ranji QF

TNI Bureau: Odisha is on the verge of creating history, as the team needs just 92 runs on Day 3 to win the match against Uttar Pradesh and reach the quarterfinals of Ranji Trophy 2012-13. They still have six wickets in hand.

Earlier, in reply to Uttar Pradesh’s 160 in the first innings, Odisha bowled out for 127. Imtiyaz Ahmed took five wickets. In the second innings, Uttar Pradesg bundled out for 111. Umag Sharma scored 37, while Mohammad Kaif made 23. Ali Murtaza contributed 25. Basant Mohanty took four wickets, while Deepak Behera took three. Deepak had taken six wickets in the first innings.

Chasing a victory target of 145, Odisha finished Day 2 at 53/4. Govind Podder is batting on 24. Imtiyaz Ahmed has taken three wickets so far.
