Odisha Women beat Pakistani Eves in Cricket

TNI Bureau: The Odisha women’s cricket team caused a big upset, as they defeated the Pakistani women by 4 wickets in the second warm-up game today. They had lost the first warm-up game by 95 runs.

In the second warm-up game today, Pakistan bowled out for 154. Sushree Pradhan took three wickets, while Sujata Mallik took two wickets. Bismah Maroof scored 44.

Odisha women lost three wicketly cheaply, but Swagatika Rath (50) and Pragyan Mohanty (28*) saw the team through. Odisha women lost six wickets, but eventually won the match. The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) has announced a cash reward of Rs 2 lakh for the team for this rare achievement.

The ICC Women’s World Cup will commence tomorrow. Indian women will take on the West Indies in Mumbai.
