The selectors have rested many players, including skipper MS Dhoni from the low-profile Zimbabwe tour. Virat Kohli will lead the team. Gautam Gambhir failed to get the nod, while Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara have been included in the team.
Jammu & Kashmir all-rounder Parvez Rasool has been included in the team. He will be the first J&K cricketer to play for India if he gets the final nod in the playing XI. Mohit Sharma has also been inducted into the team.
India will play five ODIs in the Zimbabwe tour. The matches will be played from July 24 till August 3. Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Murali Vijay and Bhubaneshwar Kumar failed to find a place in the team.
