NRI Doctor to get India’s Most Admired Surgeon Award

TNI Bureau: Dr. Mukesh Hariawala , an India born and internationally acclaimed NRI Heart Surgeon and Research Scientist from the Harvard University has been unanimously selected by the Indian National Healthcare jury to be honored with the prestigious ” India’s Most Admired Surgeon 2012 Award”.

Maharashtra Governor Shri K. Sankaranarayanan will present the award in a splendid ceremony to be held at Mumbai’s Hilton Hotel on 21st September.

The function will also include a precious lecture by Dr Hariawala on Cardiac Angiogenesis, which is his pioneering research work on the dynamic cutting edge scientific technology of stimulating growth of new blood vessels on the heart by using Low Energy Laser Beams.

Dr. Mukesh reportedly informed that the end stage heart patients can be offered a rechargeable lithium ion battery powered “Titanium Mechanical Artificial Heart Device ” which will be showcased as part of the lecture.

Satya Brahma, Chairman of the 5th Annual Awards Committee mentioned that the announcement about selection of the name of Dr. Mukesh for the award was a smash hit affair for the Healthcare industry. He also admitted that this was for the first time that the vibrancy of interest has been experienced since its inception in such a big way.

So far, Dr Mukesh Hariawala has performed open heart surgeries on worldwide celebrities across 3 continents in his career span of 25 years.
