37 Arrested for killing Foreign Tourists in Pakistan

At least 37 people have been arrested in connection with the gruesome killing of eleven people, including 10 foreign tourists in Pakistan. The incident had occurred at a base camp of Nanga Parbat in Diameer district of Gilgit-Baltistan on Sunday.

Foreign TouristsThe suspected people are being interrogated at an isolated place. A massive search operation has been launched to nab the culprits involved in the ghastly attack. Hundreds of people have staged demonstration and sit-in protests, demanding arrest of the killers.

The Taliban militants wearing paramilitary uniforms had stormed the mountaineering base camp and killed the tourists. The tourists were part of the expedition team. The banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan has claimed responsibility for the attack. The victims were identified as an American with Chinese citizenship, three Ukrainians, two Slovakians, two Chinese, a Lithuanian and a climber from Nepal.
