Morsi’s Supporters massacred in Egypt

Egypt is heading towards a civil war in the wake of rising violence after Mohamed Morsi’s ouster as the President. The military forces have killed over 51 supporters of Morsi, as they tried to intensify their protests against the military coup.

The incident occurred when Morsi’s supporters barged into the headquarters of the Republican Guard in Cairo. That triggered a crisis, as the guards responded with indiscriminate fire, leaving over 50 people dead and many others injured.

The Muslim Brotherhood said that its members were shot at, while they were staging a sit-in for ousted President Mohammad Morsi. However, the Army has alleged armed provocation from the protesters. The military has released pictures showing Morsi’s supporters shooting at soldiers.
